E-Cube is a technical consulting company offering Quality Assurance and Optimization services to facility Owners, either directly or through the Construction Manager or Architect/Engineer. We specialize in mechanical, electrical, and building controls but have applied commissioning principles and procedures to a wide range of systems. To avoid confusion and the potential for conflict of interest, E Cube does not offer Construction Management, Engineering Construction Documents (CD drawings) or Maintenance services. The majority of our work comes through repeat business from past clients, many of whom are available to discuss commissioning from a client's perspective. E-Cube, Inc. has been providing direct consulting services since the summer of 1991. E-Cube is the operational name of Nederland Refrigeration, Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc., founded by Jack Wolpert in 1975. From 1975 through 1991 this firm was involved in commercial and industrial HVAC-refrigeration design-build contracting and service work in the Boulder-Denver front-range area. Much of this work involved energy efficiency as a main goal, both in installation of efficiency measures and in aggressive O&M with an energy-efficiency focus. Throughout this period we specialized in Preventive Maintenance programs as a way to ensure quality services. In 1991 the contracting-service operation was spun-off to an independent party and continues to serve the front-range area.

The increasing focus on consulting services throughout the latter half of the 80's, led to the creation of E-Cube in 1991. Since that time we have assisted in the design of more energy-efficient facilities, as well as helping ensure successful construction and operation of energy-efficient facilities. Additionally we have assisted a number of electric/gas utilities with design and evaluation of energy efficiency programs. Similarly, E-Cube has worked with the State of Colorado and a number of Energy Service companies in delivering successful Energy Services Performance Contracting projects.

E-Cube continues to innovate in the field of quality assurance services into the new millennium. Our services are being utilized more and more to help assure the success of sustainable design and LEED™ projects. E-Cube provides early, conceptual design services to assist clients with evaluation of alternatives and development of project scope and direction.
