Third-party financed energy projects often require measurement and verification (M&V) of savings to reduce the uncertainty or risk of the investment. E-Cube provides a full range of M&V services from customized M&V approaches at a program level to project-specific M&V plans and actual implementation. We draw upon two consensus-based documents to ensure conformance to accepted industry standards: The International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP) and the ASHRAE Guidelines Project Committee GPC-14P-Measurement of Energy and Demand Savings (of which our company President is a Member).

Our service offering includes two levels:

Program Level
Development of customized M&V guidelines to meet goals and objectives within established budgets
Establishing procedures for M&V administration including M&V plan review and approval, data collection and reporting requirements, and tracking of project and program results
Technical review of M&V plans and M&V results for quality assurance

Site observations for verification of baseline conditions, post-installation conditions and proper system operation
Assessment of individual project results for extrapolation to program-wide results or future program development

Project Level
Development of project-specific M&V plans to meet any mandated requirements while minimizing costs
M&V plan implementation including data acquisition and processing, site inspections, and regular reporting of project savings
Use of existing information sources and/or statistical frameworks to minimize M&V costs.
