Joseph P. Havey CEM, LEED AP, RPA, FMA, SMA, MS RECM
Chief Executive Officer and Owner
Mr. Havey joined E Cube in 2010. He has over 35 years of experience in investment real estate portfolio management, sustainable design/construction, commissioning, energy-efficiency, building optimization, and operations & maintenance. Mr. Havey held senior management positions with Fortune 100 firms and leading private firms, and has held ownership in entrepreneurial firms. He specializes in managing people and processes and fostering a climate of mutual respect and client satisfaction.

Mandeep Singh CCP, LEED AP
Executive Vice-President and owner
Mr. Singh joined E Cube in 2000. He has over 20 years of experience in the building systems industry, including design, construction and commissioning of complex building systems. He was a Mechanical Design Engineer with ESD, designing hospitals prior to joining E Cube. Mandeep specializes in project management in a variety of buildings including hospitals, laboratories, data centers, higher education, offices, high-rise residential, and municipal facilities.

Trey King LEED AP, CCP
Executive Vice President and owner
Mr. King joined E Cube in 2007. Trey has over 25 years of experience in the building systems industry and 8 years (15 years total) active in the military as an elite Green Beret in the U.S. Special Forces. His building systems experience includes 15 years in the Test and Balance industry and 14+ years commissioning complex building systems. Trey specializes in project management and training E Cube staff in the development of strong technical and leadership skills.

Tom Vannatta CPMP, LEED AP, BCxP, CHC
Vice-President of Engineering and Owner
Mr. Vannatta joined E Cube in 1997 as the founding member of our Chicago office. Tom is a mechanical engineer and architect with 35+ years of experience commissioning new and existing buildings, facility optimization, system trouble shooting, and energy analysis. Tom specializes in complex building system analysis, and commissioning of mission-critical healthcare and laboratory facilities.

Ira P.E., LEED AP
Senior Associate
Ira has over 30 years’ experience in design, commissioning, and contracting in the building HVAC, controls and energy management industry. He developed some of the first commercial DDC systems and is a leader in the application of building automation system for HVAC control, energy management, commissioning, and life safety. Additionally, he is known throughout the industry for his ability to help building owners/managers, designers and contractors with complex comfort, temperature control and integration design and operating issues.

Dave QCxP, LEED AP
Senior Project Manager
Dave has over 30 years of experience in engineering, project management and mechanical systems construction. Prior to joining E Cube in 2013, he served as a Senior Mechanical Engineer working on retro-commissioning and commissioning projects on the east coast, and a lead engineer commissioning multiple mission critical health care projects.

Leonard Rozek CHC, BCxP, CCP, CEM
Senior Mechanical Design Specialist
Mr. Rozek joined E Cube in 2004. He was President of the National Building Commissioning Certification Board in 2021. He has over 40 years of experience in energy services, renewable energy, performance contracting, and mechanical engineering. Mr. Rozek held senior management positions with leading private firms, and ownership positions in firms providing performance contracting as well as building controls and automation systems. He specializes in technical support through design assistance, design review and system optimization analysis and implementation.

Jason P.E., LEED-AP, CCP, PECI
Project Manager
Jason has 14 years of experience in mechanical systems in complex buildings. He has been with E Cube since 2010 and has been a Project Engineer and Project Manager. He was a Mechanical Design Engineer prior to joining E Cube. Jason has been involved in the commissioning of several Mission Critical Facility projects (Hospitals, Laboratories). Jason earned his Professional Engineer license (Mechanical) in 2014 and is registered in CA, CO, UT, IL, TX, AZ, and MO. Mr. Hendrixson is also a Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) and a Commissioning and Energy Auditor (PECI). Jason has worked under some of the top national experts on mission-crtitical facilities. He has become an expert hands-on Project Manager on complex hospitals, research labs, and university campuses.

Steve
Mission Critical Commissioning Specialist
Steve has over 30 years’ experience in the construction, operations and maintenance of building systems. Mr. Guinard is the lead commissioning specialist for many of E Cube’s most complex mission-critical projects. He has over 17 years’ commissioning experience and specializes in hospitals and other mission critical facilities.

Terrell
Commissioning Specialist
Terrell has over 30 years’ experience installing, testing, and maintaining HVAC and refrigeration systems. Since joining E Cube in 2007, Terrell has commissioned a number of major projects including both hospitals and data centers with an emphasis in HVAC commissioning.

Tally BCS CxCT, CTAB, CCP
TAB Analyst / Assistant Project Manager
Tally has 14 years’ experience in HVAC, Test Adjust and Balance (TAB) including 7 years with E Cube as a Commissioning Specialist/TAB Analyst. In his 14 years, he was the lead TAB technician for over 60 projects with such clients as Colorado State University, Larimer County, Center for Disease Control, Poudre Valley Hospital, Medical Center of the Rockies and Hewlett Packard.

Matthew PECI
Project Manager
Matthew has over 25 years of experience in the installation, maintenance and commissioning of HVAC, Mechanical and Plumbing systems. He is experienced with the diagnosis and upkeep of a full complement of building MEP systems. Mr. Worthington joined E Cube in 2012 and has led many of our most successful commissioning efforts.

Catherine LEED Green Associate, EIT, PE in 2022,
Commissioning Engineer and Energy Analyst
Catherine has been with E Cube for 3 years and brings a rich educational background rooted in analytics, building systems technologies and energy conservation. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Architectural Engineering with a special focus on building energy systems, energy audits, life cycle engineering and forensic engineering. As a result, Catherine provides enthusiastic and sound technical input into E Cube’s Energy Analysis, Retro-Commissioning and Troubleshooting services.
Catherine’s background also includes a rich variety of pro-active involvement in Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Design initiatives including participation in the DOE Race to Net-Zero Energy Competitions and assisting the Environmental Protection Agency with their Ecosystems Protection and Radiation, Assessment and Protection program. Catherine is proficient in several Energy Software applications including EQuest, Trane TRACE, OpenStudio, Sefaira and construction software applications including Revit, AutoCAD and SketchUp.

Jim
Assistant Project Manager and Commissioning Specialist
Jim is one of our most experienced commissioning specialists and has been with E Cube since 2007. He has a broad MEP background having been involved in the building systems industry since the mid-1980’s. He has worked for a number of high-profile organizations such as the University of Chicago, Landis & Staefa, and Control Engineering Corporation. He has served as an industrial facility mechanic, a building engineer, a controls technician, and a building automation project manager. In addition, he has over 20 years’ experience as a licensed electrician.

Mike
Commissioning Specialist
Mike has been with E Cube since 2006. He is a top building automation systems specialist. He has an extensive background in building automation systems including 26 years’ experience as an installation and service technician for Johnson Controls, Inc. He was instrumental serving as the temperature controls technician during construction of the two million square foot Northwestern Memorial Hospital Redevelopment project and a full-time on-site service technician at the same facility for two years.

Rey MBV
Project Manager
Rey joined E Cube in 2020 in the Bay Area. He was previously with Facebook, Tesla, Siemens, and was a senior enlisted officer (Chief Petty Officer) in the Navy Nuclear Submarine fleet for 11 years. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in HVAC, MEP, automation, BAS programming, and control systems. He was a senior programmer with Siemens and trained the newer technicians on the job. He has a keen attention to detail and the owners project requirements. Rey addresses building automation as a major industry pain-point in hospitals, labs and universities for building owners, general contractors and consultants.
