A major focus of E-Cube’s commissioning and building optimization efforts over the past twenty years has been large laboratory, health care and data center facilities with large central plants.
This experience began with Compaq Computers waste-to-energy/steam-chilled water plant in the late ‘80’s, continued with IBM’s large chiller/emergency power plant in the early ‘90s and the Univ. of Chicago’s Campus Central Plants in the mid-90’s, two Unicom chilled water/ice plants in the late ‘90s, and numerous Central Plants over the subsequent decades.
Our most recent and current Central Plants include O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, IL, Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL., Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ., Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Intermountain Healthcare Primary Children’s Medical Center in Salt Lake City, UT., and Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, CA. E-Cube has become very knowledgeable of central plant systems, including chilled water and steam, and their related Cx and operation issues, including plant optimization.
