Lower Sproul Student Center

The Lower Sproul Student Community Center projects include renovations of several campus buildings and major site improvements on Lower Sproul Plaza. The work includes replacement of Eshleman Hall, renovation and expansion of the Martin Luther King student union, renovation of Chavez and Anthony Halls.

The projects accommodate student activities and services including offices, meeting rooms, assembly spaces, group practice and performance, food service and retail space. Construction is being implemented on a congested site with revenue generating retail that must remain in operation during construction. The Project site is centered around Lower Sproul Plaza, located on the UC Berkeley campus.

As the Commissioning Authority, E Cube, has commented on the Design Development submittal and is providing services through the Construction Documents, Construction and Warranty phases with enhanced commissioning services in accordance with LEED requirements.
